Uploading data and batch uploads
The Upload Center lets you quickly add any type of DNA data file to your account, including single files, multiple files, or entire folders at once. To open it, click Upload DNA Data in the site navigation. No software installation is needed.
How do I upload files?
Inside the Upload Center, choose Browse files or drag and drop your files to upload them directly into your Sequencing account. You can add one file, several files, or a whole folder in a single action.
What file types and sources can I upload?
The Upload Center accepts small and large genetic data files across the common formats and sources:
- Sequencing and alignment formats, including FASTQ, FASTA, BAM, SAM, CRAM, and genome VCF, among other DNA data file types.
- Raw DNA data files downloaded from genotyping services such as 23andMe, AncestryDNA, and MyHeritage.
- Genome sequencing files from providers such as Dante Labs, Nebula Genomics, Full Genomes, Illumina, Macrogen, Fulgent, and WuXi NextCODE.
Can I upload many files at once?
Yes. Batch uploads let you add multiple files, or entire folders, in a single action, which is useful for laboratories moving large numbers of files. Uploads run directly into your account with no file size limit.
