What is the Ultimate Compatibility File?
The Ultimate Compatibility File (UCF) is a specialized genetic data file designed for seamless compatibility with third-party platforms that can accept uploads in the 23andMe format. Whether you're exploring ancestry tools, health trait analysis, or wellness insights, the UCF bridges the gap between advanced sequencing and user-friendly compatibility.
The UCF mirrors the structure, format, and content of a typical raw data file provided by 23andMe. This includes approximately 600,000 data points, selected to match those used in traditional genotyping arrays. This means that any service that accepts 23andMe uploads can also accept the UCF.
What makes the UCF unique is that it's derived from 30x Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS)—a highly advanced form of DNA testing that delivers far more coverage and accuracy than traditional genotyping. Please note that the UCF does not contain your full genome as it has to match the same data points and size of the 23andMe type file.
