An Admixture analysis is a biogeographical analysis that is used to infer someone’s geographical origins base on an analysis of their genetic ancestry. The analysis compares single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) against a sample or reference population. The results are based on your DNA’s similarities to one or more of the reference populations.

The Ancestry & Genealogy app was created by Eone-Diagnomics Genome Center (EDGC). EDGC is the international joint venture established in 2013 between EONE Laboratories and Diagnomics. Since it’s inception, EDGC has partnered with important genomics players such as Illumina, Microsoft, and now Sequencing.com.

When using the EDGC Ancestry & Genealogy app, Sequencing.com securely transmits your genetic data to EDGC to complete the analysis. To maintain the security of your genetic data, the only information provided to EDGC is your anonymous genetic data. EDGC does not keep a copy of your genetic data after your data is processed by this app and does not use your data for any other purpose. Once transmitted, EDCG will begin performing its highly complex genetic analysis that can take several hours to complete. When the app completes, you’ll receive an email with a link to your results.

You’ll be able to securely access and review your genealogy results using any computer, tablet or phone by signing into your Sequencing.com account. You can also download your genealogy assessment as a PDF report.

24Genetics Ancestry & Genealogy App

24Genetics is a biotechnology company specialized in direct-to-consumer genetics (DTCG). Its portfolio includes DNA tests for ancestry, health prevention, pharmacogenomics, nutrigenetics, sports, and skin care.

Share Your Genealogy App Results
