The free version of Genome Explorer is ideal for those who want a straightforward starting point for exploring their genome. It provides access to core search functionality, allowing you to look up your genetic variants and see what conditions, traits, and medication reactions are associated with them.
Genome Explorer Plus
Genome Explorer Plus is designed for those who want more independence in their self-discovery and the ability to research diseases and conditions without relying on outside experts. With Plus, you can perform condition-based searches and view columns of data connecting your genetic data to diseases, conditions, and published research.
You can view your genetic variants and their classifications across five possible categories indicating whether a variant is likely to cause a condition of concern. You also receive a confidence rating based on research submitted to ClinVar, the Clinical Variant Repository at the National Institutes of Health. Plus includes direct links to published research on specific genetic conditions and to that condition's data in the ClinVar database.
Genome Explorer Premium
Genome Explorer Premium is the most advanced version, designed to help you make independent discoveries about your own genome without needing specialized genetics knowledge. It includes all the data columns available in Plus, along with two additions: Risk Version and Your Status.
Risk Version shows the nucleotide base sequence at a specific position that is associated with a condition. Your Status shows your personal status for each variant. Using Premium, you can search your genome for disease-related variants or variants considered possible risk factors by selecting "Your Status" as your search filter. You can choose from 18 possible status categories, from "detected" to "possible increased risk" to "no impact."
