Health, ancestry, nutrition and fitness reports sit beside in-house Sequencing Apps, all running on uploaded DNA files or data sequenced by Sequencing itself.
The team of bioinformaticians, Genetic Health Coaches, and writers at Sequencing.
The Sequencing team is made up of physicians, bioinformaticians, Genetic Health Coaches, and health writers who create and review the content published on Sequencing. The team draws on backgrounds in medical genetics, personalized preventive medicine, and genetic health coaching to make sure every article reflects current science and gives readers something they can act on.
This byline is used for articles written collaboratively across the team, or when content does not have a single named author. Every article carries the same standard of review regardless of byline.

Ideas for a new DNA report or analysis app go in through a Support request, after which Sequencing connects you with its app developer and bioinformatics community.

Follow your Sequencing kit instructions, scan the QR code under the lid to activate your kit, and send it back to the lab so sequencing can begin.
Reached from the header menu, the Files area tracks a kit from activation through reporting and groups every DNA data file for one person into a single genome.
Standard VCF files leave out no-calls, so analysis assumes any missing coordinate matches the reference genome. CRAM, FASTQ, FASTA, BAM, SAM or Clinical+ VCF avoid it.
A file from a test that covered only a subset of genes leaves gaps an app cannot fill. The alert names the affected traits and conditions and notes results may differ.
Results open from the Results link in the site header. Stored results never expire, each carries the date and time it started, and any of them can be deleted.
