Guide for Developers (Non-Scientists)

Submitting an App

To submit an app to the Partner Marketplace, open a support request and select "I want to submit my app." Apps submitted this way are hosted on the Sequencing platform and run using Sequencing computing resources, then listed in the Partner Marketplace for users.

What details should I include?

Include the following in your request so the team can evaluate your app:

  1. Name of the app.
  2. Whether you want Sequencing to host your app on the platform.
  3. The coding language your app is written in.
  4. Whether there is a UI component to your app, and if so, whether a prototype exists.
  5. What your app does.
  6. The output of your app (for example JSON string, PDF, GFF3, SVG, or CSV).
  7. The likely users of your app (for example individuals, bioinformaticians, researchers, or healthcare professionals).

Do I need to submit my code?

No. You do not need to submit actual code with this initial request. After you submit, a member of the App Onboarding team will contact you to discuss your app in more detail.
